American Fancy Rat & Mouse Association South Central
Home

Greetings!!! Welcome to American Fancy Rat & Mouse Association South Central!!

We have just opened this affiliate of the AFRMA as of March 2015. The American Fancy Rat and Mouse Association (AFRMA) was founded in 1983 and is a non-profit international club.

Anyone who is a rat or mouse enthusiast should join the club!!  We are geared towards the interest of serious fanciers, as well as those who have these critters as pets!

We are planning rat & mouse shows, exhibitions and displays within the south central United States. Currently, we are located in Northern Texas, as this is a central location for surrounding states, as well. We love to get involved with our communities to further the education and promote these beautiful (and often misunderstood) animals. We also welcome any festivals, fairs or expo's that would like for us to set up a display.

Our shows are held in various locations in the South Central United States and are open to entrants, spectators, and vendors. These shows are very similar to cat, rabbit, or dog shows. Judges evaluate the animals based on official standards for each type of rat or mouse. We also have Pet Shows in conjunction with our regular shows that are dedicated to pets only with fun classes for rats and mice regardless of their physical qualities. Adults and youth classes being separate.

AFRMA South Central as a club does not hold any views on, nor promote the matters of culling, reptile keeping/feeding, or animal rights.

Next show to be determined (check back later for more details)
